Hideki Iinuma
at vigilius mountain resort

The figure does not emerge toward a fixed completion, but through the accumulation of these moments — each one carved, each one irreversible. Each moment is both an instant and an eternity.

About the Project

Since the opening of vigilius mountain resort in 2003, Hideki Iinuma's sculptures have been part of the house. Munich gallerist Cornelius Pleser discovered the artist during his studies in Europe and created the connection between Iinuma's work and vigilius — an encounter that continues to this day.

resonance Ⅱ: becoming marks the 23rd year of this dialogue. Curated by Valentine Pleser.
